The next town I was off to was David. Before hitting the road, Edilsa was so kind to cook breakfast. She is a sweet lady. While I was only there for a night, she took care of me as if I were her own.

Daniel accompanied me for a morning ride to David and pointed out the volcano behind. When we arrived into town, I spotted a McDonalds. It’s been awhile since I had it, so we grabbed a quick bite. He helped me find the hostel I was going to crash at for the next few days.

The experience of getting a welcome like this into Panama was still mind blowing.

I’m alive to tell you this story. Not all strangers are bad people. Just because I stayed someone’s house whom I didn’t know, my kidneys were not cut out nor was I put in a bathtub full of ice. However, I always use my gut instinct to read into people’s intentions before doing something like this.

After checking into the hostel, I went into town to explore and came across this park. There is free wifi here.

The Panamanian government has created Infoplazas around the country to give free wifi access in parks. This initiative is to make internet accessible and incorporate technology into everyday use for the people to better their lives. I saw many people hanging out at the park with their laptops.
