Grand Canyon

Thanks for visiting Curious Nomad. I’m planning to escape the cubicle and pursue a dream of long term travel around the world. No fixed plans, I’ll just go to places that inspire me.

I created this blog to document my journey, share experiences with friends, and keep in touch with family.

Hopefully, the info you’ll find here will help you plan your dream vacation or inspire you to travel indefinitely. Maybe it’ll spark interest to satisfy your own curiosity.

I hope this blog will point you in the right direction with whatever it is you’re searching for. While I don’t claim to have all the answers as I’m discovering things along the way, I’d like to learn from you as well through discussion. Comment on any of the content that resonates with you.

If you’re curious to see how this journey unfolds, let’s connect.

Unlike other travel bloggers that may have hated their “corporate jobs” I actually love what I do and the people I work with. In this stage of my career I find my work satisfying and rewarding, but the desire to live abroad and experience as many cultures possible lies deep within. I’m curious to find out if I can even pull off this challenge of personal growth and development.

Until I turn in my notice to quit my job, I’d like to remain anonymous. I’m still working 9 to 5 as I prepare for this adventure.

Learn about the backstory of how this idea all started.

Never stop searching…

What an exciting time for you, I remember when I was keeping it all hidden as well. Time flies so enjoy every moment of the pre-trip excitement.

    • Thank you! I keep recalibrating my start date, but selling my car and taking the bus to work everyday reminds me of what I’m working towards. I figure as long as I live according to what I value everyday, I’ll find happiness in every step up to departure.
